New National Restrictions from 6th January 2021 – Working through it

What this means for us (the installer) & our clients

We may continue working in the homes of customers and can refer homeowners to the latest guidelines

Where and when you can meet in larger groups

There are still circumstances in which you are allowed to meet others from outside your household, childcare or support bubble in larger groups, but this should not be for socialising and only for permitted purposes. A full list of these circumstances will be included in the regulations, and includes:

  • for work, or providing voluntary or charitable services, where it is unreasonable to do so from home. This can include work in other people’s homes where necessary – for example, for nannies, cleaners, social care workers providing support to children and families, or tradespeople.

If you have any questions first read our Covid-19 consumer doc or contact the office.

We’re happy to hear from you, right now we prefer video calls, email and telephone. If you’re looking for glass samples, we are still able to send these or show them via video call.

Coronavirus Update – 24/3/20

With the Prime Ministers announcement on 23/03/20 Osborn Glass & Windows have had to postpone all immediate factory and site operations, which in turn will unfortunately have an impact on all or our customers anticipated installation, delivery or collection dates, once we have more information on when we can safely get back to work, we will of course update you.

Today all our suppliers have phoned or emailed to say deliveries of goods that are manufactured will be returned to their factories. Any new orders will also be held at their relevant stage. We are of course waiting on news of when our supply-line will start to move again but for at least 3 weeks we now put orders on hold.

If you have recently placed an order with us I would like to remind you that the deposits are under an insurance backed guarantee scheme (https://www.qanw.co.uk/) Your deposits are safe for a period of 3 months and we can extend them if necessary. Hopefully this give the current client list a bit of reassurance that any monies already paid is safe!

Surveys will be prepared for ordering as when the manufactures are ready to receive new orders. No new surveys will be booked for at least 3 weeks.

Quotations – Our team are working from home and will be able to provide quotes or answer any technical questions. Our quotations will now be valid for 120 days.

We will aim to keep you informed of any developments as they arise, and we will try to keep delays to a minimum.
