FAQs

Can French doors be used as interior doors?

How energy efficient are my French doors?

Our French doors are available in double or triple glazing and are built using multi chamber uPVC profiles. This retains natural heat in your home, which could help reduce heating bills.

All the doors we supply meet current building regulations for energy performance. The weather seals are fitted tightly around the doors, which could help make your French doors more weatherproof.

Are uPVC French doors secure?

The French doors we supply are manufactured to leading thermal efficiency standards, combining slim sightlines and a quality finish. Our doors can support 28mm double glazed units as standard, offering reliable thermal and acoustic performance.

Because French doors feature large glass panels, the right combination of frame and glazing unit makes a real difference to how comfortable a room feels. Our team can advise on the best option for your home and budget, so get in touch and we’ll talk it through.

Are uPVC French doors secure?

Yes. Every uPVC French door comes with a three-point dead-bolt lock, backed up by an anti bump, anti drill cylinder and cylinder guard; our locking system is proven to withstand the three main attack methods: bumping, drilling and snapping.

PAS 24 enhanced security specification is available if required, and Secured by Design accreditation can also be specified where it is needed.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't recommend this company enough. They are absolutely brilliant. We had a crack in our mirrored splashback and was original told by another company that it would be a really complicated and expensive job. Found Osborn glass and they quoted 4 times less and got the job done in less than an hour! Really great communciation and would highly recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Osborn fitted our new front door a couple of years ago and we've been really pleased with it. But what's been even more impressive is their after sales service. Nick, the installation manager, has been brilliant with following up a minor teething problem we had and with other matters. We've recommended Osborn to friends and they've also had a similar experience to us. This is a company that in our experience does not just take the money and then leave you - they follow up and provide great customer service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was recommended to Osborne Glass by a friend and I was delighted with them . Importantly I am thrilled with the quality of their work which has transformed my kitchen. What set them apart though was the fantastic service from Tony and his team . As well as doing a superb job they were all just so great to deal with . They would be my first choice on similar projects in the future .

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't recommend this company enough! I had a complex mirror repair on a wardrobe door that was chipped, and I was really worried about it. The mirror had a triangle shape with diagonal edges, and I needed it to perfectly match the other mirrors on the door. I had reached out to other companies, but most told me the job was either impossible or would cost more than the wardrobe itself.

Tony, the manager, was incredibly helpful on the phone, reassuring me that they could do the job and match the existing mirrors perfectly. He was very responsive to emails, and I really appreciated his attention to detail. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The guys who collected and delivered the door were not only professional but also super nice and kind. They even helped me mount the door back onto the wardrobe, which was a lovely touch.

The repair was flawless, and the new mirror matches the original ones perfectly. The whole experience was seamless, and I’m beyond happy with the result. The price was very reasonable for the high-quality work provided. If you need mirror repairs, these are the guys to go to! Professional, reliable, and truly skilled. Thank you, Tony and team!
