What are the benefits of adding a porch?

A porch creates a thermal buffer between your front door and the outside, so cold air doesn’t rush straight into your home every time the door opens.

It adds a second point of entry for extra security, plus a practical place to leave coats, bags, and shoes before you step inside. Done well, a porch adds kerb appeal too, and can even increase your home’s value.

Do i need planning permission to install a porch?

Most porches fall within permitted development rights, so you won’t need any planning permission as long as the floor area is no more than 3 square metres and the height is no more than 3 metres.

Conservation areas and listed buildings are exceptions, where permission is more likely to be needed. Our team can advise on what’s achievable before you agree to any work.

What's the difference between a uPVC and an aluminium porch?

Both are durable, low-maintenance, and thermally efficient. uPVC is a cost-effective option with a good choice of colours and finishes, using profile systems from Halo by John Fredericks and Glazerite.

Our aluminium porches have slimmer frames, a more contemporary look, and a wider colour range. We use porches from Sheerline and Whiteline, which include strong thermal performance and improved natural light. If you’re unsure which suits your home better, we can advise when we visit.

Can the porch be matched to my existing windows and doors?

Our replacement porches can be colour-matched to your existing windows and doors for a seamless look.

The Flexi Porch Roof Modules are available in light or dark brown and three shades of white: Standard, Ultra and Deeplas. All other types of roof are available with pitched glass or tiled roofs being the most popular.

I had a complex mirror repair on a wardrobe door that was chipped, and I was really worried about it. The mirror had a triangle shape with diagonal edges, and I needed it to perfectly match the other mirrors on the door. I had reached out to other companies, but most told me the job was either impossible or would cost more than the wardrobe itself.

Tony, the manager, was incredibly helpful on the phone, reassuring me that they could do the job and match the existing mirrors perfectly. He was very responsive to emails, and I really appreciated his attention to detail. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The guys who collected and delivered the door were not only professional but also super nice and kind. They even helped me mount the door back onto the wardrobe, which was a lovely touch.

The repair was flawless, and the new mirror matches the original ones perfectly. The whole experience was seamless, and I’m beyond happy with the result.
